This policy explains what personal data this website collects, why, and what your rights are. It is short because the site collects very little: it sets no cookies for visitors, uses no analytics or advertising, and loads nothing from other companies' servers.

Data is processed in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). If you are in the European Economic Area, the EU GDPR gives you equivalent rights.
2. Visiting the site
The hosting provider automatically records technical access data for every request: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the referring page, and your browser and operating system. These server logs are used only to keep the site secure and running, are kept for a limited period and are then deleted. They are not combined with other data and are not used to identify visitors.
Lawful basis: legitimate interest in operating the website securely (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR).
3. Contact form
When you use the contact form, your name, email address and message are emailed to me so that I can reply, and a copy is kept on the website for 90 days and then deleted automatically. Email correspondence is kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and normally deleted within 12 months of our last exchange. The form is protected against spam by a hidden "honeypot" field and a submission limit; no CAPTCHA or third-party service is involved.
Lawful basis: legitimate interest in answering your enquiry (Article 6(1)(f)).
4. Cookies
This site sets no cookies for visitors. The only cookie is a session cookie (SESS…) that is set when an editor logs in to manage the site; it is never set for ordinary visitors. Fonts and images are served from this website itself, so no data is sent to font or content-delivery services.
5. Links to other websites
The films can be watched on stayhumane.film, and the press page links to articles on other websites. When you follow such a link, the privacy policy of that website applies.
6. Who data is shared with
Personal data is not sold, rented or shared for marketing. The website and email are hosted by Namecheap, Inc. (Phoenix, Arizona, USA), which processes data on my behalf under its data processing addendum and standard contractual clauses; data is stored on Namecheap's servers in the United States. Data is disclosed where the law requires it.
7. Your rights
You have the right to ask for access to the personal data held about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw any consent you have given. Write to info@stayhumane.film; you will receive a reply within one month and there is no fee. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF, ico.org.uk, telephone 0303 123 1113.

This policy was last updated in October 2026 and will be updated whenever the way this site processes data changes.
